HOW LAMBORGHINI PAINT BEHAVES UNDER FILM
What Sant'Agata sprays decides what we can do to it.
Lamborghini paints a lot of solid pastel colors, and a solid color has nowhere to hide. There is no metallic flake breaking up the reflection, so the surface underneath the film is read directly by the eye. Orange peel that nobody notices on a metallic silver car becomes obvious the moment you lay gloss vinyl over Giallo Inti or Arancio Borealis. That is why a Lamborghini wrap starts with an inspection under a light bar and, on most cars, a light polish. Film magnifies texture, it does not bury it.
The clear coat on these cars is hard and comparatively thin over the composite panels. That matters in two directions. Correction has to be conservative, especially at the panel edges and the crease peaks where clear is always thinnest, because burning through an edge on a Huracán fender turns a wrap job into a paint job. And on the other side, adhesive removal at the end of a film's life has to be done with heat and patience rather than solvent, because aggressive chemicals attack the edges first.
Panel material changes the install too. The Aventador and the Revuelto are built around carbon monocoques with a mix of carbon and aluminum body panels. Carbon holds and releases heat differently than aluminum, so the same heat gun setting that relaxes film nicely on an aluminum door will overwork it on a carbon engine cover. On a mixed-material car we adjust panel by panel instead of running one temperature across the whole body.
Then there is Florida. Central Florida heat cycles a parked car through a range that most wrap manufacturers rate against, but the combination of that plus UV plus afternoon rain finds every edge that was not properly wrapped around a panel return. A car parked outside in Orlando exposes a lazy install about four times faster than the same car in a garage. It is the single biggest reason we wrap edges around panels rather than cutting film flush at the visible line.
Cars delivered with Ad Personam or dealer-applied finishes need their own conversation before anything is applied. So does any Lamborghini that has had prior bodywork. Film will bond to a repaint, but fresh paint needs to fully outgas first, and film over a repaint that was not properly prepped will pull that paint when it comes off. If a panel on your car has been redone, tell us, and if you are not sure, we will check it before we quote.
THE PANELS THAT ACTUALLY MAKE THIS HARD
Every Lamborghini has three or four places that decide whether the wrap looks factory. Here is where they are, model by model.
Huracán
- ▸The Y-shaped front bumper is built from hexagonal creases that meet at hard points. Film bridges those junctions instead of laying into them, so each intersection gets its own relief cut and a post-heat pass at the corner.
- ▸The deep side intake behind the door is a negative-radius scoop. The film has to be pushed into a return you cannot reach with a squeegee, which is why we pull the rear quarter trim rather than cutting the film short and calling the edge finished.
- ▸The front splitter lip on the EVO and Tecnica sits low enough that it is the first thing to eat a driveway. It wraps as a separate piece so it can be replaced without disturbing the bumper.
- ▸On the Performante and STO the engine cover hex vents and the shark fin are separate carbon components. They come off. Wrapping around a vent surround always telegraphs.
Urus
- ▸The doors and roof are the easiest large panels in the whole Lamborghini range, which is exactly why a lazy install shows up on an Urus first. Big flat surfaces reveal every stretch mark and every bit of dirt trapped under film.
- ▸The front bumper intake surrounds have deep inward returns behind the mesh. Film that is trimmed at the visible edge will lift within a season of Florida heat cycling. Those returns get wrapped.
- ▸Wheel arch cladding, the roof spoiler, and the tailgate license plate recess are the three areas that decide whether an Urus wrap looks factory or looks applied.
- ▸On the Urus S and Performante the carbon hood and roof are optional exposed weave. If the owner wants those left visible, they get gloss film rather than color, and we mask the transition line before anything is laid.
Aventador
- ▸Scissor doors move on a hinge path that stresses the film edge at the A-pillar every single time the door opens. Edges there get tucked behind the shut line, never butt-cut at it.
- ▸The origami creases across the door and the sharp peak over the rear fender arch are the sharpest edges Lamborghini builds. They want pre-stretch and a slow post-heat, not brute force.
- ▸On the SVJ, the ALA aero ducts in the engine cover and rear wing are internal channels. Film does not go inside them and anybody who tells you it does is going to leave you a bubble in six weeks.
- ▸The huge side intakes ahead of the rear wheels need the intake blades removed. Trying to cut around them is where cheap Aventador wraps fail.
Revuelto
- ▸The front bumper is a stack of separate layered aero blades, not one molded surface. Wrapping it correctly means taking the blades off and doing them individually, which is most of the added labor over a Huracán.
- ▸The hood vents and the Y-motif DRL surrounds sit at compound angles where two curves fight each other. Those are single-piece inlays, cut on the car.
- ▸The carbon monocoque doors have a very tight radius at the lower sill. That corner is the first place a wrap lifts if the film was not relaxed before it was laid.
- ▸The glass engine cover means everything around it is visible from above. Edge quality on the rear deck matters more on a Revuelto than on any other car in the lineup.
WHICH FINISH FOR WHICH LAMBORGHINI
The right answer depends on what is already on the car.
Solid pastello colors
Giallo, Arancio, Verde and the other flat factory colors have no metallic flake to lose, so they take a color change better than anything else Lamborghini paints. Gloss vinyl over a solid pastel gets closest to a repaint. Satin over the same color reads as a deliberate finish choice rather than a cover-up.
Metallic and perlato
Converting a metallic or pearl car to matte throws away the flake you paid for and it never photographs the way owners expect. On these cars we push gloss paint protection film over the factory paint instead, so the color stays and the surface is what gets protected.
Factory matte (opaco)
Matte factory paint cannot be polished, so any adhesive residue or install scuff is permanent. Matte-specific film only, and large panels get one continuous piece because seams show far more on a flat finish than on gloss.
Exposed carbon panels
On the STO, Performante and SVJ the visible weave sits under a clear that hazes in Florida sun. Gloss film over it keeps the depth of the weave. Matte film flattens it and matte over carbon is almost always a decision owners want to undo.
Chrome and mirror films
Mirror films are stiff and do not want to conform to the Huracán hexagon creases or the Aventador arch peaks. On these two cars a full chrome wrap means visible seams no matter who installs it. We will do it, but we tell you where the seams land before we start.
Ceramic coating on top
Ceramic coating goes over paint protection film and over gloss vinyl, and it is the single thing that makes a wrapped Lamborghini easier to keep clean in Central Florida. Coating a matte film requires a matte-specific product, not the gloss one.
REALISTIC PRICING BANDS
These are ranges, not quotes. Nobody can price a Lamborghini wrap without seeing the paint, the trim, and how much of the car has to come apart.
Specialty films, chrome, colorshift, brushed metal and textured stock, generally add 20 to 40 percent over standard gloss or satin because the material costs more and the install takes longer. Paint correction, if the car needs it before film, is priced separately. Send us photos through the contact form and we will tell you which band your car sits in and why.

LAMBORGHINI WRAP QUESTIONS
Straight answers, including the ones that cost us jobs.
A full color change runs roughly $5,500 to $8,000 on an Urus, $6,000 to $9,000 on a Huracán, $7,000 to $10,500 on an Aventador, and $8,000 to $12,000 on a Revuelto. Full-body paint protection film lands between $7,000 and $11,000. Chrome, colorshift and textured films add roughly 20 to 40 percent on top of a standard gloss or satin. These are bands, not quotes. The number for your car depends on paint condition, how much disassembly the trim and aero pieces need, and whether any panel has to be corrected before film touches it.
Yes, but the rules change completely. Opaco paint cannot be polished, so there is no undo on a scuff or a patch of adhesive residue. We use matte-specific film with a low-tack adhesive, we do the big panels in single continuous pieces because seams read much harder on a flat surface, and we do not use aggressive chemical prep. If the car has already been buffed by a previous shop the matte is gone in that spot and film will not hide it.
On a Lamborghini, yes. Badges, door handles, mirror caps, intake blades, splitter lips, and on the Revuelto the layered front bumper aero elements all come off so the film can wrap around the panel edge instead of stopping at it. That is most of the labor difference between a real exotic wrap and a wrap that starts lifting at the edges after one Florida summer.
It sticks to the clear coat over the carbon, not to the carbon itself, and that is the important distinction. If the clear is sound, gloss film goes on and actually slows the UV hazing those panels are prone to here. If the clear has already yellowed or started to delaminate, film locks the damage in. That panel needs refinishing first, and we will tell you that before we take the job rather than after.
Huracán in every variant from LP610-4 through EVO, Tecnica, STO and Performante, plus Spyders. Urus, Urus S and Performante. Aventador LP700-4, S, SVJ and Roadster. Revuelto. We still see Gallardo and Murciélago regularly, and older cars usually need a paint assessment before anything is applied because film pulls harder on aged clear.
Wrapping over chips is a bad trade. Vinyl is thin enough that a deep chip telegraphs through as a visible dimple, and the film edge around a chipped area is where lifting starts. The honest sequence is to address the chips first, then apply film so it does not happen again. Front-end paint protection film on an Urus is the highest-value job we do on that car because it is the Lamborghini that actually gets driven daily and it collects the most road damage.

Great service, had custom wing from DMC placed on my 2013 Aventador this week. They did an excellent job with apply a double clear coat and personalized install of the wing. Today, April 10,2026 I had Corsa and his team put on a Avery Burgundy wrap on my Aventador also change to red calipers. Great job, love the color and professional job!!! I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for work to be done. Timely and professional!
The team at Corsa (Ken, Jaden, Dillon, Eli), are truly amazing. They are welcoming even allowing my son to come into the back to see their kick-ass Andretti style gaming system, professional, knowledgeable, and truly talented. I recently brought in my Mercedes CLS for some custom tuning work. They got me in immediately, got me out just as quickly, and the pricing is straightforward and fair. Corsa is a Diamond in the Rough. I can't thank you all enough for the great work, it was above and beyond my expectations.

Fixed my rear camera same day, nice & perfect condition
I cannot recommend Corsa Automotive highly enough. From the moment I brought in my Alfa Romeo Giulia, the entire team was incredibly patient, communicative, and genuinely caring throughout every step of the repair process. They took the time to answer all of my questions, kept me updated consistently, and made sure I understood exactly what was happening with my car. I never felt rushed or left wondering about the status of the repairs. Their professionalism and attention to detail gave me complete confidence that my vehicle was in the best hands. What stood out the most was how much they truly cared not just about repairing my car, but about making sure I had a positive experience during what was already a stressful situation. That level of customer service is rare to find. My Alfa Romeo was treated with the care and expertise it deserves, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Thank you to everyone at Corsa Automotive for your outstanding work, your honesty, your patience, and your dedication. I sincerely appreciate everything you did for me and my car. I will absolutely recommend Corsa Automotive to anyone looking for a shop they can trust.
I came home from vacation to find my (2) bikes and bike rack laying across the back of my Porsche 911 Turbo S. Thankfully, I found Corsa Automotive and they literally made it like it never even happened! Jaden was on top of it all the way and she and Ken got me fixed up so fast, I almost couldn’t believe it. My baby is back in the garage and there is no evidence of the offensive fender blemish.
